The Witch's New Year! Another turning of the wheel . So much more than a night of candy for the kiddies.
Samhain Pronounced "SOW--IN" As in a Pig is a SOW.
This is the day when the veil between the world of the living and the realm of the dead is at it's thinnest,the spirits of departed loved one's walk the earth visiting family and friends and join in ritual celebrations.This is the Prime night for any type of spirit contact rituals.
The feeding of the dead is also done on this noght, food is always left out for the spirit travlers, candles are also left lit to help guide them along their way. This is where the origins of modern Halloween customes of the Jack O'Lantern and trick or treat started.
Witch's remember their ancestors and all those who have gone before.
After Samhain, Witch's celebrate Yule.,and so the Wheel of the Year is complete.
